Vision : 

Through our MIMW curriculum, we aim to empower our children with the knowledge, safety skills and values to thrive as responsible, compassionate global citizens, who can positively impact the wider world. 

 

Curriculum Drivers: 

Through our Me in My World curriculum, pupils explore possibilities by learning about diverse life experiences, global citizenship, and healthy relationships; create independence by acquiring safety skills and personal reflection tools to navigate the modern world and build resilience by developing emotional awareness and strategies to overcome challenges.

Intent:

• Personal Development and Life Skills: Equip pupils with essential safety skills, emotional literacy and practical knowledge to navigate personal health, well-being and social interactions effectively.

• Healthy Relationships and Respect: Foster mutual respect, empathy and positive communication skills to enable children to build, nurture and maintain safe, healthy relationships throughout their lives.

• Global Citizenship and Values: Promote inclusivity and awareness of diverse life experiences, empowering children to become responsible, compassionate citizens who contribute positively to the wider world.

 

Implementation:

• Progressive and Inclusive Curriculum: Deliver structured, age-appropriate RSE and PSHE lessons across all key stages, providing safe spaces for open discussion and personal reflection.

• Practical Safety and Well-being Tools: Teach actionable strategies for physical safety, digital safety, mental health awareness, and emotional regulation in everyday contexts.

• Reflective Dialogue and Vocabulary: Equip pupils with key social and emotional vocabulary so they can express feelings, articulate personal boundaries, and engage in constructive conflict resolution.

By the time our children leave us, they will be confident, emotionally resilient and safety-conscious individuals with strong moral values, prepared to build healthy relationships and make positive contributions as responsible global citizens.
