Helping your child at home
• Employ the language of growth mindset
• Remember the power of ‘yet’ e.g. ‘you can’t do it yet’
• Let them ‘have a go’ & take risks in their learning
• Help them to learn from you and to ask for help if needed
• Encourage resilience and the ability to bounce back & to persevere
• Celebrate effort and avoid intelligence or talent praise but the process ie the strategies, effort or choices.
• Give constructive criticism - feedback which helps your child to understand how to put things right or improve them.
